ID-Shadow
UNTITLED

feathering
heartmarked dreams
on the seventh eve
of a middle age –
waiting

words galloping
along terrestrial hills
and me perched upon
the scriptural egg –
waiting

aiming star embers
at high in the sky
flying undersea temples
of cherished omens –
waiting

breathless
by the sideways
of my ancestral desert
waiting for the
moon falling dawn

SHADOW DREAMS

evening
incubus dismounted
impregnating her
thorn-felt
dreams –
death camps
pacing halls
sallow moonlit
arteries
she paused –
peering through
veilings
evil odor
at doomed
eyes and lungs
filled with
incapable outrage –
nightmares
tugging
coal-black
to front
slipping
under carpets
of the day –

MEM

belling
wailing legends
ambling
through ethos –
ringing
incantations
laden with
ancient purgatories –
forty meanings
forty years
wandering
(in preparation)
with caravans
of symphonies –

INHERITED DREAMS

Shekinah’s necklace
of broken
ancient beads –
tumbling relics
written promises
in amphoras of wine
black hen eggs
plucked from ruins –
Rethreaded
on a silken cord
nomadic cadences
dancing in reverie
engraved with
inherited dreams –

ID-Courage
COURAGE

cain
on wheels
rolling through
the gates of hell

stapled
to his chariot
dragging millions
along the way

spring mornings
filled with doom
bare skinned bodies
crisp winters

hot summer
burning off limbs
mother held babies
impales

the world
shook its head
futilely angered
by vanity

twenty years later
printed people
rolled off presses
screaming

truth
no silver stars
no confetti parades
stammered courage

cain
you were deceived
kaddish was said
but not for you

BLINDNESS IN BLUE

he roofless
temple of illusion
genuflects
in jerusalem –
intoners
feet on
broken tiles
of grace
look to heaven
ready to spring
for the hand
of god –
faceless
the elder
prowls
before the ark
glorifying
in possibilities –
people see
war planes
shadows
rattling echoes
hosanna hosanna

UNTITLED

she sits
by the gateword
knowing
there are no
fences on the moon –
waiting
gently
andante
her head
in the cloud
her fingers
enlaced
before the storm –
she reached through
a painted
black line
placing a comma
after a wave
and pulled forth
an i –
